After a seven-year hiatus, Douyu Carnival, Wuhan’s iconic offline pan-entertainment event, has officially returned and is currently underway at Wuhan International Expo Center. With the theme “See Every Kind of Passion”, this summer carnival brings online pop culture to life offline, offering a great opportunity to experience Chinese youth trends and diverse entertainment atmosphere up close.
Running until June 28, the event covers an exhibition area of over 100,000 square meters, featuring five major sections: esports competitions, immersive game experiences, star music performances, cosplay interactions and local delicacies. Whether you are an esports enthusiast, music lover, or just want to experience the local summer vibe, you will find something to enjoy.
There are 10 themed pavilions on site, gathering dozens of popular global games including Game for Peace, CrossFire, Honor of Kings, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDSand Delta Action. You can visit 1:1 restored game scenes: try the real-life “battle royale” challenge at the Game for Peace zone, step into the giant transport ship scene at the CrossFire area, and relax at the PUBG themed café. You can also watch top esports competitions played by professional players on site and feel the passionate atmosphere of live viewing.
Every evening, the central main stage hosts special music performances, with a total of 20 popular singers and bands taking the stage in turn, covering diverse styles such as folk, rock, pop and indie music. Well-known musicians including The Landlord's Cat, Summer War, Hu Xia, Jike Junyi and Dada Band will all perform, bringing an immersive live experience on summer nights.
Hundreds of popular cosplayers will parade and interact in the venue, recreating classic game and anime characters. You can take photos with them freely. Meanwhile, hundreds of popular Douyu streamers and professional esports players will also appear on site, giving you the chance to meet online creators in person and join interactive games.
A food zone is set up inside the venue, gathering Wuhan local flavors and special snacks from all over China. You can taste crayfish, specialty drinks and more during your visit, enjoying a seamless “shopping and eating” leisure experience.
